Packaging Design   Visual Identity

Boaz Tsairi is an accomplished Israeli chef who spent significant time immersing himself in Japanese culinary culture.

For his line of Japanese foods and condiments, I developed a visual language inspired from the natural elements on his kitchen countertop, such as seaweed, miso, tofu, noodles and fish. The logo of his Japanese namesake is written in both languages, and also serves as a stamp reminiscent of a postcard sent to him from his sensei.

The minimalist, delicate and Zen-like aesthetic conveys a sophisticated simplicity with a hint of playful experimentation– exactly what you would expect when traditional cuisine has a  foreign affair.
